With streaming music becoming a much talked about issue for a while and in light of the research results of Digital Music News (see below) Ancroo Live have taken the decision that song of the day posts will no longer be YouTube links.
We feel it is just as important to support artists as well as crew, as after all without their music we wouldn’t have a job. So from now on we will be posting Apple Music links for song of the day.
Digital Music News has tried to establish how much various music services pay for streaming. According to its analysis, Napster pays the highest rate at $0.019 per stream, followed by Jay-Z’s Tidal at $0.0125 and Apple at $0.00735 per stream. YouTube pays the lowest rate of only $0.00069 per stream. Spotify is now, it seems, somewhere in the middle ground, paying about $0.00437 per stream.

Let’s get the discussions going because together we can make our industry better on its return however bleak and confusing it may seem at the moment.
Something to think on our industry for many is the worlds mental health organisation helping many people through tough times.
To look after people you must look after yourself now is the time for our industry to start looking after its self so we can return to looking after the rest of the people around the world that need us to sing and dance away their frustrations. They are going to need us more than ever when we return.
